 Anchoring Scripts for Farewell

Here is an anchoring script for a formal farewell organized for seniors at school/college.

Here we have imagined some names and programs, you can change them according to your circumstances.

You can even ask us through social media to write scripts for you.

 

Anchor 1: A very good evening to all of you. I would like to extend a warm welcome to the respected director sir, respected principal ma'am, teachers, my dear friends, and with a big round of applause, I want all of you to welcome today's special guests, my dear seniors.

[ Entry of ongoing batch ]

I Stuti Rajeev along with the whole Staires family bid farewell to our dear 12thies.
I am blessed with the opportunity of being the host of this event.
We are celebrating this day marking the end of the journey of class 12th 20__-20__ batch in this school.
I assure you that this program shall be full of excitement and will create some beautiful memories for us all.
It is rightly said that "Days are not lost when memories are created."

हर ख़ुशी में कुछ कमी रह जाएगी,
आँखें थोड़ी शभनमी रह जाएंगी।
हम सब कुछ कितना भी सवार लें यहाँ,
बिन आपके कमी रह जाएगी ॥

Anchor 2: Empty benches, a hauntingly silent classroom, a blank blackboard, when you'll look back for the final time, it will break your heart, it will be all over, the old friends, the gang, the classes, the pranks, the fest, the stolen lunch boxes, and fun at the canteen.
Everything will go.....
We'll stay in touch, you all will promise,
but the reality, we know!!

Anchor 1: Now I request the director sir, and on behalf of class 12th, our Head Girl and Head Boy to please come upon the stage for the lightning of the lamp.

[ DEEP PRAJWALAN ]

कल हम न होंगे, न कोई गिला होगा,

सिर्फ सिमटी हुई यादों का सिलसिला होगा ।

जो लम्हें हैंचलो हंस करबिता लें,

जाने ज़िन्दगी का कल क्या फैसला होगा ॥

तो चलिए बढ़ते हैं आगे हँसते गाते.....

Welcome a dance performance by class eleventh girls with a big round of applause.

[DANCE]

Anchor 2: Stuti, अब कुछ मीठे का मन है, कुछ मीठा हो जाए।

Anchor 1: अरे मुझे लगा mic हाथ में लेकर तुमने तो प्रोग्राम आगे ले जाने आए होगे, रसगुल्लों (Name some sweet dish of the party to make it relatable) की याद दिला दी॥

Anchor 2: My genius friend, मीठा खाना नहीं, मीठा सुनना है।

Anchor 1: Ohh, you mean somebody is going to sing?

Anchor 2: जी हाँ, ज़ोरदार तालियों से स्वागत करिये श्रद्धा सिंह का।

[ Song ]

Anchor 1: Thank You so much Shraddha for your melodious contribution to our evening.

Anchor 2: अच्छा चलिए तो बताइये Answer Sheet में सबसे पहले क्या लिखना चाहिए ?

 [ Interact with the audience by going between them ]

Anchor 1: अरे यही लिखना चाहिए कि, 

इस answer sheet पर लिखे गए सभी उत्तर काल्पनिक हैं, जिनका किसी किताब से कोई सम्बन्ध नहीं है।

Anchor 2: इस ही के साथ बढ़ते हैं, एक और dance performance की तरफ 

Welcome a classical dance performance.

[Dance]

Anchor 1: Thank You so much, dear performers.

It always seems to amaze me how quickly change occurs,

like tides change bringing newness.

I know things never stay the same,

but this time, this is just not fair.

It feels like we just met you and now you are moving away. 

Here is a skit showing our journey between this hello and goodbye.

[ SKIT ]

Anchor 1: बदलाव जीवन का नियम है,

आज आया है, तो कल इसे जाना भी है।

हम छह कर भी रुक नहीं सकते ।

ज़िन्दगी खूबसूरत हो जाती है, सिर्फ एक छोटा सा सच जान लेने से,

की कोई पल हमें दोबारा नहीं मिल सकता,

तो हर पल यहाँ जी भर जियो.......

Now your juniors will rock on the stage with beats.

क्योंकि पंजाबी तड़के के बिना bye-bye तो नहीं करने वाले हम।

[ BHANGRA ]

Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They just mean we'll miss you until we meet again.

Farewell is not the end, but a new beginning. 

I thank you all for your time and attention.

Now I request all of you to move on for dinner, thank you.
